Mechanics of ZOE

This is mecha section which will detail most of the mechanics in Zone of the Enders. All the mechanical designs are created by Yoji Shinkawa of Metal Gear Solid fame. In Metal Gear Solid, he created the character designs as well as the mechanical designs; however in Zone of the Enders, he merely created the mechanical designs. Yet, that is a feat in itself as the Zone of the Enders mecha express a unique perspective on mechanical design. Differing heavily from typical Anime-styled mecha; Shinkawa, in my humble opinion has created some of the most fantastic, unique and deep mecha design ever created to this date.

Many people make the mistake and assume that the mecha designer for ZOE is also the same mecha designer for Gundam. And some people are quick to accuse the mecha designer of ZOE to have ripped off the mecha designs found in Metal Gear Solid. Well, of course he did, he designed both!
